sounds interesting. i'd love to ruin a steering knuckle on a track. i'm in.

some miata people are gonna be doing a track event down at charlotte county speedway in may. maybe a tie-in with them could keep costs down for tamparacing people?

Just find a way to determine an approximate order of fastest to slowest, spread out the time they start, and that should be enough.

You'd actually have to put cars of equivilent speed together in a run group.

I'm kind of concerned about the 20 minute session concept for the general TR populous. I did my first Solo1 trials on stock pads in the mustang and within 2 laps had overheated them so badly that I had virtually nearly zero stopping ability. I ran through a cone wall into a run off area at 60-70mph.

The brakes on the average street car are not sufficient for a 20 minute session. People will need better pads and a high grade fluid at the absolute least or there are going to be issues.

John,

I would be in as well. I will just put a smaller turbo on the car and retune and be all set.

Good point. Everyone needs to know the importance of FRESH hi-temp brake fluid and cooling ducts if possible.
