My dsm was fifty bucks a month cheaper to insure than my Accord. 2 door turbo awd sports coupe compared to 4 door slow as balls sedan, same company. They've manage to jack the prices up to where they used to be in the last 3 years, even though I've gotten older with no tickets or accidents (grr...), but hey, it was cheaper to start.

If it had been an identical Eclipse GSX, I would've been paying more than with the Accord. Sometimes insurance company stupidity works in your favor. Shh, Don't tell them it's not a MOPAR.

Well, Eagle rods (4) for a Honda is about $300. Eagle rod ( is about $3-400. That's twice the amount of rods for about the same price. Which is cheaper? I have a header (1) for my Honda that is about $1k. What are expensive headers (2) for a domestic? More than $2k?

From what I've seen, I agree imports generally are easier to work on...but has anyone worked on a 300ZX TT?

GSX was less expencive than a NA Mk3. And that was the Mitsu...I assume the Talon/Lazer counterparts would be even less

Dont laught at those 3 cyl metros...the ones that come with a turbo are surprisingly easy to make fast, especially since they weigh ~2000

Hell the top 3 sleepers IMO are any given Volvo (especially a turbo I5 RWD), 88-91 or so Dodge Caravan turbo, and Chevy Sprint turbo
I know this is from way back on page 2, but to clarify there are no RWD I5 Turbo Volvo's. (There all FWD.) There are RWD I4 Turbo Volvo's (i.e 740, 780, 940, 240)

Thats pretty funny. I have owned many cars(20 or so) When i was 18 i bought a new civic like i have now. That was then and still 11 years later the most expensive car for me to insure. My 92 civic hatch costs more to insure then My Lexus LS400, Toyota Tundra V8, 4 runner, you name it. Civics are in the top 3 most stolen cars. I mess with imports because i have always likes them and i like the route less traveled. For how fast my car is now most of the cars i race have just as much money if not more then mine under the hood. Speed is expensive.

i wasnt looking at it liek we need twice as much.. i was just looking overall, you want headers, average i see is 400 for a decent set (i know there are more expencive/cheep) alot of decent ones for the mustangs run 600 or so from what i have found. but i got your point.
