Question for the Import guys
I like all kinds of cars and always will.If i get a good deal on a 03 cobra or supra of course i'll take it.Ignorance against import vs domestic is on both sides.I have a 4.6 Mustang friend with intake/exhaust/gear who thinks his 13.7@99 is fast with slicks.

Since I can't seem to figure out if my cars are fast, come to track day, I'll line up with you and then you can determine if my import is "fast" or not. Or do you not have the balls like I suspect?

Its not cheaper, for sure. But me personally, I like the efficiency of a I4, and the sound of a six. Newer domestics are heavy and outside of a Corvette, don't handle nearly as well as their import counterparts. On top of that, Corvettes included (especially?), I hate domestic interiors, fit and finish and quality of materials are where honda was 12 years ago - good, but not great by today's standards. Lastly, they are what I grew up with, what I am familiar with. Thats why I like imports.
Please note: I still also own a Cobra

Big difference here...domestic could be a 305 tbi vs. a 4G63, or it could be a fox body/ 03 cobra vs. civic
Dont laught at those 3 cyl metros...the ones that come with a turbo are surprisingly easy to make fast, especially since they weigh ~2000
Hell the top 3 sleepers IMO are any given Volvo (especially a turbo I5 RWD), 88-91 or so Dodge Caravan turbo, and Chevy Sprint turbo

actually a civic, accord, integra are more expensive to insure than camaro v8 or mustang gt. theft rates are a bitch, and they are more than the charge for high performance.
