For Hondas, it's definitely more expensive to make them faster than Domestics. It usually cost much more and gets you no where. For FI cars, it really depends on the cost of the parts.

Not only are domestic perf. parts cheaper, they start out with an advantage of DISPLACEMENT and RWD. However, I drive a Honduh because of insurance, gas mileage, aesthetics, and so-called "reliability". The last two are purely subjective so no need for anyone to argue that point.
so parts for your honda are more expencive then parts for my mustang?? right.

12.1 Joke of the day when towing it down, Andy, "If it falls off the dolly, just keep going" me, "we at least have to go back and get the nitrous kit"

Obviously it was very well thought out, and it's hard to put a price on knowledge but he had somewhere around $1500 in the entire car. It's not something everyone is going to go out and duplicate though, but it can be done. I haven't spoken with him in a while, but the last time we talked, he was expressing an interest in doing the same type of low budget thing with a fox body coupe. Funny, because I have been talking about the same thing

when someone does with a 4-cylinder what it normally takes a v-8 to pull off... that's impressive.

like some people say.. and i believe it also, when you have a "four banger" lets say like mine and you kill a cars with V8 like if they were 3cl geos.. feals good.
i think it all comes down to preference.. your gonna spend alot of money either way, if you love cars in general( any car will start dranning you clean sooner or later)

It depends on the import. Obviously making a honda fast has its limits as compared to modifying a SR20 powered nissan, a turbo supra or a porsche 930.

A few mods can work a lot of wonders for those kinds of 'imports' that would allow any of them to stomp on a bunch of warmed over domestic hardware.

That being said its not as cheap as warming over a domestic, but then again there are the quality and uniqueness factors to go along with it.

If you had to have an eleven or twelve second car, which would you prefer, driving a camaro or mustang or a 911 or supra turbo?

I picked the subaru because it was all wheel drive, and in indiana winters it was a must. I was drawn in to the factory turbo cars because the ease of modification is there, and i like power under boost, i used to be a vette guy through and through, and i had plans to build a supercharged v8... now i like my supra because the extreme strength of all the drivetrain. I would have liked more power out of my subaru, but i was worried about the 5 speed being weak and all that garbage. The only thing im missing is the traction Ill most likely build something like a mustang or a vette someday, id love a z06, but for now, ive got goals with the supra, and i intend on hitting them first... 1 last thing, if its down to trucks, the domestic trucks win, i like the titan, dont get me wrong, but i think that the new F150 and hemi powered ram are just better trucks!

I was raised a dometic guy so I have no devotion to the import side besides a like for their quality control and design.

When people ask me how to go fast for cheap, I usually always tell them 'fox body mustang'.
