hp > weight. Eventually you can only get so light, you can always get more HP though. And it has been proven you can get more HP out of big displacement motors then you can small displacement motors.

How it goin' Chris?
I personally think that I would not buy another domestic after owning an import. Don't get me wrong. I do believe that everyone should own an american V8 sometime in there life. Unnaturally aspiration is prefered.
However, now owning an '03 Evo and having a '99 Cobra in the house, I can immediately see why they (imports) are so popular.
The mods are cheap and easy to do. They give a good boost in HP. Handling is awesome, especially compared to a Mustang. They are great on gas. Easy to drive and they fit anywhere, so you don't have to worry about parking.
I still love my Steeda though.

I would be more than happy to race any hatch or CRX with a stock motor that has NEVER even had the valve cover off. I like to compare apples to apples, and that's what we are dealing with here. My car is a joke, it was a joke when I started building it, and it's a joke now. All my close friends laugh their fucking asses off with me when it goes down the track. It gets funnier every time I take it out, and especially when I see people spending thousands and thousands of dollars to not even go as fast as me, both domestic and import. Hopefully for their sake, I won't ever get serious about this, but then it wouldn't be any fun

BBB- you upped the pills yet on that land yacht of yours? We gotta run again.
There's the old saying about displacement and I'm sure everyone knows it so I won't say it. Dollar for dollar, mod for mod domestic wins everytime. Simple physics. I'm not a hater, I respect the ET's not what makes the ET. Foreign or domestic. There was an article of a 80's coupe with junkyard parts that went 10's. Scott posted the thread along time ago. If my memory serves me right, the total cost(including car) was under 5-6k. Or how about Steve(aka race495). A coupe w/ 460 and spray = mid 10's. Total cost was 8500$. Can't beat that. -Mark

I've always loved Nissans (obviously) although I also love vettes too (my father is also a Chevy man). IMO if you want to go with a domestic, get a good one like a vette, or a properly trimmed stang like a cobra. But for me, a nicely done S14, skyline, SE-R gets me especially hawt like a Ferrari would. (still cant get over what happened to tkrskyline
)
But when the chips have all fallen, any real good car, regardless of what it is, regardless of my preference, as long as its very respectable performance wise I'm going to probably like it. I just love sports cars period. I want ALL of em.

For me I would build an import. I have helped friends build Mustangs and other V8s, and they are a lot of fun. I've just never driven a domestic that can out handle a well built import. i want something that I can throw around and not worry about it. It's just my preference for my driving style.

No, I haven't upped the pills, I've got the biggest ones that came with the kit in it now
I think it's finally time to get something lighter, this has been fun though.
