If the car didnt get flooded with salt water or if it didnt hydrolock the engine they (insurance) most likley will NOT total it, just replace carpet, etc and dry it out. KInda sux but I remember what people where doing when that no name storm hit a few years back. do what you want with the info and good luck with it. Glad you mom was OK.

Well we found out the sewage systems were backed up onto the streets in that area. My mother was told to get a tetnis (sp?) shot just as a precautionary measure...perhaps my brother should do the same.

So the car literally smells like shit. Ants are invading the interior. When you crack open the throttle body, you can actually smell the shit water in there. Hoping for a total. If not, I'm going to tell my mother to trade it in after it is all fixed.

Damn man, that really sucks. I drove my cobra through downtown in the same storm and had some close calls. When I got home I couldnt hear anything because the rain was hitting the car so hard.

Hope your mom feels better, I know how much it sucks to have a car you love damaged, but at least she's safe.

That truly sucks. At least everyone is ok. The car can always be replace. However, that's not much consolation.

damn that sucks, my poor twin is down ......I hope they take care of her though and if it were my car, I would just move on, not try to empty the fluids like Mars said...I cant imaigne how bad the rust will be, underneath my steering wheel is all rusted and so is the clutch, gas, and brake pedal arms, I cant imagine what it would do in that situation, at least the Borla should be able to be salvaged

Uh, a tetnus shot. Shit (literally).

The exhaust and wheels will be coming off. Hopefully we can find some cheap wheels that fit the car.

Yeah no kidding. I want to talk her into getting one of those $7900 KIAs.
