The exhaust and wheels will be coming off. Hopefully we can find some cheap wheels that fit the car.

The car is being towed off "as is" with wheels and whatnot. She is going to buy the wheels back at salvage price if the car is totalled. The adjuster recommended keeping all of her aftermarket shit on there as it will help boost the value of the car (with proof of receipts). Hopefully we can trade out the exhaust too. I think the Borla mufflers will still be okay after they are flushed out a bit.

Insurance usually doesnt do crap for aftermarket parts - Im surprised they said that. I hope all goes well.

Best of luck to you, and your family guys. Be sure to keep TR posted on the status of the 10th, and the acquisition of the Mystic.

USAA is pretty good about aftermarket parts. My mother was told they will cover any aftermarket parts if you have a receipt, and you don't have to pay for extra aftermarket coverage on your policy. I didn't believe it at first and I am still a bit skeptical, but we shall see how it unfolds later on this week.
Of course we will keep everyone updated on the latest happenings.

honestly i would just clean it back up, i mean like gut the whole thing of the interior, let it all dry, replace whats needed, etc. the motor stalled, but did it lock? i dont know how long ago this happened, but if you are quick about getting the motor out and apart, and get it dry'd and treated so it wont rust you should be alright..... i dunno, i just wouldnt give in to insurance unless they were willing to get me into another identical car for close to the same it would cost to restore the origional.

Slight update:
Car was towed today. My mother said the tow truck driver had a hell of a time pushing the car out of the garage on a downhilll slope. The brakes were not engaged/stuck, so something mechanical was probably locked up (I won't even venture to guess what).
