In case any of you don't venture outside of bike tech

I knew they changed the crank. I wonder if that's mostly the cause for the change in sound. Def. doesn't sound like your typical I4 anymore. If I had to pick a new bike i think it would be this. Even though the aesthetics are "meh" IMO

its called a crossplane crank. and has what they call a big bang firing order. thats why it sounds that way. torque of a vtwin and power of an inline. its motogp technology
