W6v2s are sopposed to be better for SQ. I would go with a DIYMA 12 or a SI Mag v4 over any JL sub if I was going for pure SQ.

i want a little bit more power than the w6s, but still have some SQ behind it.

I heard the w7 with 700-800 watts on it, it sounds clean even though it hits hard. That amount of bass is good enough for me. I dont need more than 1000watts.

ill been reading on here that some people are complaining about JLs being expensive, then give me some options i can look into.

I looked into the crossfire, i have not heard it in person, but 2000-3000rms is too much for me. I dont know how much that amp is gonna cost to power that thing.

I would look into the ID Max definately, also could do the SI MAG, but it won't handle as much power, but the that sub blends into your system amazingly.

What subs out there that can compare to the w7s in SQ with a better price??
I won't take the time to tell you which subs are better. Once you're on the JL bandwagon there's nothing that can sound better

The ID Max that he refers to is made by Image Dynamics and is an excellent cross of SQ and SPL as 727 kid has said above.

There are two authorized dealers of Image Dynamics in the Bay Area that I know of and they would be Audio Itch in Tampa and P & R Car Audio in Pinellas Park.

They retail for about half of what a JL Audio W7 does and is every bit as good if not even a little better.

We do have these in stock and you are welcome to come by and check them out.

You can also find them online but we have the ability to match pricing as they are not real expensive to begin with (Atleast not for what you are getting out of them), they are not inexpensive but they are also well worth what they are capable of doing at retail value even.

I'll gladly sell you an ARC amp at retail price. There is zero chance I'd violate my agreements and transship their products. These companies have authorized dealers for a reason.
