Niether is the Dodge Viper or Chevrolet Corvette Z06 yet both will run deep in the 12s in th 1\4 and hang with or smoke a Porsche on a road course. Remember horse power sells cars but TORQUE is what you feel in the seat of your pants when you drive them.

Porsches will get beaten in the 1/4 by those two cars, but compare the powerplants....Porsche-6 cylinder, Viper-10 cylinder, Corvette-8 cylinder. Not making excuses just saying, that'd be like saying "a civic si can't hold it w/ a Z28"..also...as said before, many more factors are involved, porsches are more refined than either of those cars. I've ridden in a viper and yes its fast as hell, but its also loud, much louder than a porsche. I haven't ridden in a vette ever but have been told that, at least the older models, had poor fit and finish. Which car would you pick if you were going to take a road trip? another thing, porsches have 4 seats, albeit the bucket seats in the rear are for legless midgets

GSRBoy,

You want to go fast and hit the curves balls to the wall buy a sports car. You want to ride like you are on a cloud buy a Roles Royce. Anything else is just an excuse.

A 426 Hemi Belvedere with zoomie headers, no interior, and a cam the size of your leg.

I'm an enthusiast.

I just hope we've got some sort of understanding here? If you wanted a car to compete w/ the viper or Z06, pick the GT3, thats more on the same level, although not in the same price range
But yes I completely understand what you guys are sayin

Throw the carrera and the stealth on a twisty mountain road and Oops...where did the stealth go? But since you back up your claim that the stealth would out handle a 911...I'm guessing he has some susp. mods. Let's throw another factor into the mix, RELIABILITY....you can ride the fuck out in the 911, come home turn it off, and start it back up in the morning...even if the stealth hasn't had any problems yet, I'll guarantee that it is WAY more finicky than Stuttgart's own Not trying to start somethin, I've just grown up sleepin in the sebring pit boxes during PCA events
so I gotta show love

actually, stealthtt4me has no suspension mods. just awd, and the carrera doesnt. i have been in the car when he took a right hand corner at nearly 80 mph without a squeak of the tires. i personally havent seen a porsche do that. and you are right about the reliability thing. i can justify that claim. you are right there. but you have to give it up to stealth how much he paid compared to the porsche owner too, just to be fair. we all have to give it up to him for the porsche kill.

honest to god, i would rather have an m3 than a porsche.
