jaymon i have pulled on c5 vettes with that car.
and wasted older ones.

never really got to race a real built vette though.

untuned,stock b16 manifold,stock cam gears,itr intakecam, stock ex cam
no vafc or anything

 

and the car is a gutted 88 hatch

curb weight is 1993lbs

add 100lbs for the new motor, then take off prob 100-150 for the gutting.
maybe more.


so maybe 2100-2200 with driver.
with good tires should get 13.5-13.7

It was a newer vette, pointed what it looked like to jason it is a newer vette. If you knew me you know i dont know that much about what is what year on vette's. It had to be like a 98 or somthing. I dont know. Those things have changed alot. But yea this car can definetly pull on those c5's.

 

Okay, since you probably ran it at the track, what times did you pull? What trap speed were you hitting if you're guessing those times?

 

not running mid 13's you can't. Face it you've been played.

 

from a roll, jaymon's car is fast...i've driven it. now will it keep up with a new f-body...no. will it keep up with a new c5...no, not on top end. but from 50-130 the car is fast and just runs out of gearing...keep in mind its gutted and has 170hp.

1800lbs / 170 = 10.58

3600 / 335 = 10.75

now i know corvette's weigh less, but the f-body's weigh about that much...from a roll i believe the car is faster than mid 13's...its traction and shitty tires that limit the car right now.

i have pulled c5 vettes b4. i just shut off at 120 cuz i had a govenor at the time.

and yes chet was also right. froma dead stop the car was not that great.
the tires sucked, i was in need of nittos bad.

if anyone knows forrest and he remembers. i raced his white stang with 2 racing stripes and huge friggin slicks on the back and only got beat by like 1 car. he was amazed, i could tell by the look on his face after he tried to wave goodbye to me and i was still there.

type-r runs high 14 right?? in a 2500+ car
with about 170whp and 110-115 torque and i assume they run stock tires.

i had same hp and 20 more torque and 400-500 less lbs.
