On my way back from my freinds house. I was headed south on the 60>the courtney causeway. This rich old guy about 45-56 was the driver. Totatly would not look at me at all. I saw him cutting threw lanes and passing to get ahead. So i followed cause he was basically giving me a path around traffic. Well all in all We went on the causeway as I follow him then I pull along the side of him and take off. Then upahead there was a opening and a long stretch of open road of no cars around us. I slowed down. He stays side by side with me. Then he takes off. I am about 5500rpms in 3rd. I take off about that. I gain on him easy and sorta get about 1/2 car length then he starts to pull ahead. THe whole time we never pulled and futher or any gain on either of us. Where doing this for about 40-50sec. of going probably about 130 or somthing again my cluster gauge only goes to like 120. Had to have been faster though. Anyways we came down to the end of the causeway to were a sign says Speed limit 55. So I slow down and just give up. We wernt gaining on eachother I was keeping up with him I was pretty impressed. I thought my car was only capiable of keeping up with transams yada yada. Well guess not. Iam still shaky from the race it feels sooo. good. This wasnt really a kill. nor was it a tie. I would have to say that the corvette wins cause he was about 1/2 car length from me. Its like his front bumper was passed mine about half way. I know i shocked this guy being able to do this and keep up. He wouldnt even look at me. I wasnt going to say anything out my window just maybe a thumbs up or maybe nothing at all. It was real fun though. I saw this green 5th gen civic on my way apex n1 with some black wheels with chrome lip I saw you grin at me. hehe. Well here is the story. Just thought I would share this with you peoples thats all. He had no girlfreind this time in his car.

 

Maybe he was just pacing you and toying with you. I do that sometimes.

 

yea maybe, the guy did look pretty relaxed. But those corvettes look pretty cozy inside so whoknows.

 

i would believe the story depending on whats done to your car, i have seen a few chevys go down from the almighty vtec

 

no no no that race couldnt not have happend, i was told last night domestics NEVER win

 

Was it an older vette?

Because going at it for 30 or 40 seconds, in a new vette would have been 160mph+

no it was a older vette i dont know what all it was. My car is a built lsvtec.
