How to make a Corvette owner swallow his pride>Kill numbe
Wow-just like that truck block Supra!!
Reality being, well-real (not the color of Haboob's sky) you can only squeeze X-amount of HP out of X-amount of cubes w/o suffering somewhere. That "block" may hold, but that will be the only thing left stock! You know it, and I know it!!
I am sure if that car comes here-it will cost big $$$ to get it to 'vette-specs (unlike the Cobra's which can surpass the C5 in the 1/4 for about a 1-2 thousand bucks).

I can assure you, I am not ignorant-and yes, 4 bangers, twin rotors, in-line sixes all have the ability to beat a V-8 given a lot of different factors-mainly with some type of power adder or a really excellent power-to-weight ratio. I am speaking from personal experience, and have been racing for 25+ years.
Now, I have seen some pig V-8's you couldn't beat into the 14's-heck I've owned some! Depending on model year & weight-some V-8's are not worth their weight-especially since some 4-bangers are making as much HP as some 80's-90's V-8's (though not the torque).
What I am saying is I haven't seen many-other than the holy Asian trifecta: Supra/TT Rx7/300ZX that are really dangerous on the street (and they are not made anymore). Serious cars that are inexpensive enough to mod to the stratosphere at the expense of low end drivability-but still put out massive numbers.
Personally, I like cars-anything with personality I dig. Got nothing personal against "Ricers." The ones in Miami rarely Fuck with me-and I don't mind showing them what a real world class sports car can do. In fact my two big "rice runs" both TT RX & 300 ended in friendly conversations on mods, etc.-and I've been to both of their houses!!
Whatever bro-I've never lost to an import, but I know there is a possibility. Power to weight is a pretty fast and solid rule to the 1320...just haven't seen it yet.
But I guess these guys better hurry-b/c I'm going in for a head & cam job that should net me 480-500 flywheel HP. All throttle-no bottle
And will avoid "Sully" like the plague!!

Whoa! Big Feller!!
I see you have some V-8 supercharged power.
That's good-definitely a great combo if you can apply that power.
All my Corvette guys with blowers have trouble hooking it all up unless they use some type of cheater slick (even my 335's are no match and would spin up through third if I went the blower route).
The Camaro is a better 1/4 mile track car-despite it's 200+ pound weight penalty and slightly poorer aerodynamics (almost no noticeable difference in the 1/4) due to it's solid axel (in fact it has less driveline loss-about 5-7 hp more to the rears-than the 'vette's Independent Rear Suspension).
I'm curious-what's your setup...? RWHP...? Track times...?
Actually-I'm secretly just lurking to see what Habooby says next (INALLCAPS...
) He might be a Willa (all knowing poser from our forum).

Sully,
I've got video from the 2003 Breathless Shootout on my track page. www.trackvideos.com/breathless.htm Did you make it to this last event?
Do you run track events with Chin, SAFE or both? I am going to try and make it to the 4/20 Chin event. If I can't get there on 4/20, I will be there on 5/11
