also a 2001 mustang cobra is listed at 24000 dollars by kbb.com. i was wrong the first time.

and also the mustang cobra is the only mustang with independent rear suspension. and how many people on this board have a mustang cobra and not a mustang gt?

i love arguing with you guys its like everyone just ignores numbers and 1/4 mile times and power to weight ratios.

I hate to even get involved. but...

I will never say Imports are better than domestics or 4 cyl are better than 8 but I do get really sick of you 4 cyl import guys have to understand and shit like that. I HATE to be bundled together with the assholes you guys are used to dealing with.

I went to the track tonight. I simply let some air out of my tires. Ran 10 or more runs. All 12.4 to 12.1. Then I drove home with my stereo A/C Leather Power everything...etc...

No thats not the fastest car in the world but it holds its own pretty damn well. Especially since my 2.0 4cyl engine that redlines at 7000 rpm is Stock no internals upgraded and has about 350 passes on it.

I guess Im saying that a word like SOME or even MOST would help.

IE: Most Domestic V8 guys are closed minded.

I also went to the track with my over 3000lb 2.0L I4 powered car and ran 12.5 FWD on radials and stock motor. I have no doubt that it is easier to make power with a larger engine and definatly easier to make tourqe but dont doubt a motor just because it is small I and Joe have around 400HP+ to the crank with a COMPLETELY stock engine. It is common for a supra to get 700-900HP to the wheels with the stock 3.0L motor they have. It is all about what you want to drive and spend money on. Have fun!

can fordman please clarify something for me? how is it that im wrong by saying that cobras are the only mustangs that dont have dependent rear suspension. (my own term)

last time i looked underneath a mustang it had a single transaxle.

also id like to see some websites with official timeslips that put mustangs in the low 12s and high 11s without racing slicks.

and how can power to weight ratio mean nothing? this seems like a statement made straight out of mullatia.
