What i have seen here though is several videos of WRXs with relatively minor mods running rings around porches on a track..
The best mod in the world is the guy behind the wheel. A good driver is hard to beat.

Kenny, check with some of the other clubs for the 18 age limit. SAFE Motorsports requires experience, as such they do not have instructors and require drivers to be over 21. Chin Motorsports has instructors and may have a lower age limit. Panoz also has open track days where instructors are available and may have 18 age limit. SCCA, BMW, Porsche, etc. may have something for under 21 also. I'm not sure but you should look into them anyways.

SAFE Motorsports is the best value around - 5 hours of track time in one day for $225!!! The other clubs are a bit more expensive but still reasonable, however you are limited to approx 2 hours of track time. Check them all out. You'll be addicted.

LOL

TampaWRX, you wanna chase a Viper around some twisties? You're in luck. I'll be at Sebring Dec13. Sign up at www.SAFEMotorsports.com and have some fun.
I'm stuck with "on-call" jury duty that month, so can't make any plans. Would be fun though. Assuming your Viper is not stock, just how much power would I be giving up? Me=~390bhp You=???. My car turns much better than it accelerates, so it would definitely be a lot of fun. Sebring is rough as Hell though. Assuming you have coil-overs, have you had any blown strut problems after tracking the car? My coil-overs are only 40mm pistons with internal oil reserve, rather than remote, so I've been worried about blowing one out on a track as bumpy as Sebring. I've driven a Formula Ford there and it was rough as all Hades.

Why not? If he actually had a stock Viper, I could find more than a couple of WRXes that would match up relatively well on a road circuit. Sebring would play to teh Viper's strengths, given its long straights, but it would be fun once we came down into the hairpin and the east esse section. Unless Chuck has gone full race, my suspension is probably close to being on par and I've got some nicely sized brakes on the car as well. It would be fun, regardless.

I like Vipers, don't get me wrong. It's the "did he know you were racing him" crowd that annoys.

Don't be so quick to dismiss the Scoob. If we're talking Sebring, yeah, he'd probably own me. There's no amount of scampering in the corners to make up for my straightline deficit. If we're talking something more tight and twisty, say Mosport, it might be more interesting. It would be fun against the stock Viper anyway.

What do you want from a car that costs 1/3 of one Viper with all my mods??? Shit, if I were stacking that kind of casholam I'd be much faster than I am now, believe me.

Or were you just trying to say that I can't drive...
