they got the americanc ars being built in japan and the jap cars being built in America. I can't keep up.

Anything can be fast and EVERYONE on this site understands that. I prefer to v8's because of the sound Can't beat it IMO. Plus the fact that I paid 3k for my car and it was in the 14s bone ass stock.

What do you all consider a family car? I would consider it whatever your family buys to drive everyone around in. My mom has had 3 vettes and a couple z28s. I guess they are family cars, too

Insance civic, are you on crack btw? You do realize that rwd gives much better traction than fwd right? Your logic is waaaaaaaaaaay out there bud.

I don't like the way my FWD launches, you can't feel shit it just straight pulls through shifts I want it to push my head in the seat like a RWD behemoth V-8 does *crieS*. When I get 150whp I wanna run this 13 yr old family car super civic that can beat Cobras FYI you're not lighter than me. That little civic, while much uglier and smaller. IS actually almost the same weight as my car

insanecivic - I totally agree with you, and I think most of the domestics agree with you also, we all know that civics can be fast. I don't think the majority of domestics are still biased (sp) towards imports.

All I am trying to say is that mostly stock Mustang GT's and 96-01 cobra's are NOT fast. Especially from a roll. There is nothing wrong with you posting mustang GT kills. But I think some of us are getting tired of the general attitude that "mustangs are slow because I beat one with my 4cylinder" yeah the mustang has a V8, but your car could weigh 1500lbs less! Like I said, mostly stock 4.6L mustangs only make around 190-240rwhp, put that hp in a car that weighs 3400-3500lbs and you have a 14-15 second car.

I love imports, if I had the money I would love to own a supra, or an evo, or an sti, maybe even an SRT-4, if your car is fast, I like it. For the size of your motor, you guys can make some awsome power! Its just the comments that DON"TSLEEP said like "and you know how I love mustangs" or "OMG I lost to a mustang" almost saying that he can't believe he lost because mustangs are so slow. Thats all I was defending against

im down to run.... i usually dont back down from a race as long as my car is running good but i know that you win some and you lose some... why would i back down to a car that should beat me when even if i do lose i can still say i raced a camaro or mustang that runs 9s... that on its own is cool to me.... now i may get beat by a heartline buslength but oh well its still fun to see that awesome piece of machinery pulling away in front of me... and u never know maybe that car might not get traction or maybe hell miss a couple gears and ill win... its always worth a try... all im sayin is i respect both worlds import and domestice but being i own an import right now i have to defend them because i know what mine can do.... and ive seen what others can do....

And no im not on crack but I have seen the high powered rear wheel cars run on the street and ive noticed alot of them have traction problems where alot of fast front wheel drives dont.... although for the street i dont think anything beats all wheel drive... Between front wheel and rear wheel its a toss up but i believe with an FWD its easier to get traction if you have good tires and suspension because the weight of the motor is centered over the drive wheels.... who knows i just know my car USUALLY hooks up and ive raced plenty of rear wheel cars that would ass rape me on the track but i beat them on the street because they couldnt hook up....

that's why it's always a bad idea to assimilate information from what you see on the street. Rear wheel drive always offers more traction.
