you may be 70hp down but don't forget weight. Just because a mustang is a V8 doesn't mean it should be fast. Stock 5.0's/GT's have around 215-260hp, its less at the wheels. A 200rwhp car that weighs 3300-3500lbs is not going to be fast.

But why do you hate mustangs? I would think that since you have an import you would prefer the 4.6L 32v motor over the pushrods?

 

mustangs just dont do it for me. i mean compared to the older ones, its boring. lack of power mainly. everyone has their own opinion and i really hope you guys dont think im talking shit about mustangs cause im not. i know there are plenty of FAST mustangs around. its just sad to say that the ones ive ran (gt's+ cobras) have not had their way most of the time. my car is not fast nor do i think it is. i say its ALL RIGHT. mustangs hae a name that stands out. name that stands out and gets put down. its just my thought. im sure everyone can give a brief example of a car they dont like and why they dont like it. i'd just wish everyone would just deal with the fact that i dont like them instead of thinking im a billy bob wanna be bad ass that swears he can beat everyone of them

 

thats cool man, just wondering. I admit that pre -03cobra, the 4.6L mustang are down on power, unless they have forced induction. But thats only because its much more difficult and expensive to make the 4.6L fast NA instead of FI.

 

older ones get a thumbs up all day long. but even you as a mustang owner know the speed differnece. now why is it so hard to believe that me civic can and has beaten gt's and cobras. is it just cause my vehicle is a honda? any can be made fast. even if its a kia. wellll no i take that back. kia's cant be fast but everything else can be. time and money and experience behind the wheel is all you need. and its safe for me to say that i have enough of all 3.
