When I needed my timing belt replaced I took it to Fixx Tuning, but they charged me like 1700 dollars for the labor and parts, so I don't think I'll be going back. I've had some people tell me that was grossly overpriced. Are there any good cheaper euro grease monkeys around the Pinellas area?

1700? !!! i did that job on my own in less than 3 hours. and paid 300 for the entire parts kit. belts, water pump, tensioners, pulleys ETC.

Fixx tried to charge me 600 bucks for my rear 2 wheel bearings on labor lone hahaha.

I can help you bolt on that kit by the way. I had a 1.8 A4 prior to owning my S4.

Edit: the stage III kit should be fine. God i miss the easy to wrench on 1.8 days haha.

Really cause Im pretty sure that I have seen quite a few guys doing it. Did I say it would last, no. Maybe you should take a trip over to the 1.8T forums on vortex and tell all the guys there (that know what they're doing) that they are wrong. Oh well Im not going to argue, some people know everything.

That you are the owner of a shop and pushing parts.

Good job twisting around what I said. I never said take it to 8K, Im just saying based off what I have seen that you can. Just curious but how many times have you taken a stock head 1.8T to 8k? Actually nevermind, who wouldnt listen to someone who got beat in their BT audi by a chipped 2.0T. Sorry dude, I just dont see the need for the owner of a reputable shop to be such a douche, good thing Brad is such an awesome guy. Anyways I'm done with this.

You should never rev a 1.8T head past 7500 and expect it to stay together. People are always going to push things, but they can and will blow up. If someone is asking where can they rev to and what parts are needed to do a certain thing unknowing, why would you say they can do something if it most certainly will lead to destruction? I dont even understand your reasoning in mentioning that anyone has rev'd to 8k to someone like that. You replying to someone inquiring about what the limits are. The limits are 72-7500, not a few a people have gone to 8k ... I wasn't being a "douche" whatsoever, I was sharing correct facts that won't result in the OP blowing his car up, AKA the correct way to answer someones inquiries. Then you guys come after me saying I'm trying to push parts. lol, I never mentioned anything about selling a single part in this thread, merely mentioned a few brands which are highly recommended by anyone in the VW/Audi community.

Beat by a chipped MK5, Rafi and I f'in around was me getting beat? I thought two cars actually had to race to see which was faster.

Since you clearly know me and I have no clue who you are, this would be?
