Why do you drive/own the SUV/Truck that you have?
Got two of ours for differnet reasons, G wagon, because of it's huge off road ability (see the real thing not a jeep or hummer thing). It also has some of the best amenites out there. Our Sierra b/c of it's towing ability combined with good power. Towing 15K lbs and then running low 13's all day. My car, first last and only car.
It's a 2003 that resides in my parents garage....I'd give out more info but that's all I like to say. Actually on edit I can add more, it has a 5 speed auto, 4wd and 4 real doors, a set of H2 rims, exhaust, intake...and a few other things.

Please, while I won't deny the Mercedes Gwagon has great offroad ability. I'll put a 1/3 of the price Wrangler Rubicon against it any day OFFROAD. Obviously it has amenities out the ass, but offroad, overall in every aspect of offroading, I guarantee a Rubicon will either match it or kill it taking into account Rock Crawling, Mud, trails, etc. REAL THING? riiight!
I just sold my ford explorer. I loved it. From the size the the give value at the end. I wish I had enough money to get a newer explorer.

Z, I don't argue with jeep owners, if that's what you want to believe go for it, just look at what militaries use it, the U.S. just backed themselves into a corner with the Hummer, too big and too wide.

You don't argue w/ Jeep owners? I'm assuming thats meant as an insult, not sure really. Like said, the G wagon while good offroad, its like a Land Rover/Range Rover there good on Trail runs, etc. but you take your G wagon to the Moab or a Muddy pit/trail and your gonna find yourself lacking. Stock for Stock, The Rubicon is going to out crawl/mud/trail drive a G wagon. I'm not saying the Jeeps are hands down the best 4wd's out there, you just came out of the gates swinging when you said you own the best 4wd, etc. Either way, I think its great you can afford a 75k + Luxo Wagon, more power to you but its far from being tops over a decently built Jeep, or other 4wd on your weekend Trail/mud runs.
You are right though, daily driving obviously the G Wagon is a little more civilized. Better be, its a luxo car...
