Why do you drive/own the SUV/Truck that you have?
With all the BS in the General Chat forum, I'm cursious as to why everyone has the truck or SUV that they have. What made you buy it? Do you use it for anything in particular? Is it your daily driver?
This is my second Jeep and I love them! We got it because at the time we were traveling a lot and wanted something very comfortable to ride in with a lot of space. We also wanted 4WD because you just never know when you'll need/use it. We've had to tow my boyfriend's car with it - that was fun.
(I don't have a tow hitch, he had to rig something up because his motor went ka-put because of a monster of a puddle.) It's been great for us since we got our dog. We can fit his carrier in it nicely and still have room for other items. It's my daily driver and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Well with my Ranger, it's the third I have owned. last one had 180,000 miles on it and just had to put it in the shop at 130,000 for the tranny. I liked teh way it looked and god knows I love having a bed to haul shit. Then the price was killer too, gotta love workign for Ford.
My third Jeep.. Not only do I LOVE Jeep vehicles, but this vehicle suits me and my lifestyle perfectly. I've owned an Explorer, and I've owned a Jimmy.. The Jeep runs circles around those two.
As mentioned in the General Chat thread, I need my vehicle to haul my family, 2 dogs, and the cargo area ALWAYS has a bunch of shit in it. I also need the ability to tow 4K+ lbs.. There is no way I'd be capable of maintaining the current standard of transportation in a car instead of an SUV..
On top of that, tons safer, my insurance went down $10 when I switched to the Jeep from my last vehicle, and I drive around in complete comfort. I have all the options I want and it looks damn good too. Plus its no secret that the Jeep is king of offroad.

i've always loved trucks and while i wish i had a bigger one, mine was the only one i could afford. that and once im done it will be a very fun little truck
It's hard to get into.
Guzzles gas.
Noisey.
Bouncy.
Unpractical.
But cool as hell, thats why I own it. I was raised by my dad restoring 69-72 (1st Gen) body style Blazers and it is in the blood. My other one is a hot rod.

It was handed down to me. My truck gets me to point A to point B. Its a Mazda b2300. Ive been going back and forth between getting a car or putting that money into the truck.Well the truck is decent. Doesnt go fast enough for me to get a ticket. and i guess its quiet safe for me. SO overall i have a truck cuz it was given to me....

I have 3 trucks in my hands as of now.
My 79' CJ5 - Well like said its a JEEP, they never lose there coolness and I wanted a classic one to fix up. I've always been a fan of the SWB Jeep's and got a hell of a deal on the FL only CJ. Couldn't pass it up and I enjoy restoring it and can't wait just to stand back and look at my labor of love once its done. Then take it out and put it on some the roughest trails FL has to offer, hehehe.
My '97 Rodeo LS, hell I don't know I have a Ford ZX2 which is a 2 door coupe w/ no room to put anything so I figured I needed something for a cruiser that I can haul crap in etc. So I picked up this fully loaded Rodeo and it does its job perfect.
90' Ford Ranger, hehehe a hand me down that is the work horse of the group. It has no power, no power steering and a manual. Its an ugly faded red but with that 2.3L they put in them it just won't die. Its used for everything, runs to the dump, hauling crap from Home Depot, etc. A/C is still cold and that sucker is tough.
