AE86 sugestions
ok, so this thread has turned into a piss fest.
first off, all gt-s's did NOT have lsd. it was an option. the sr5's had smaller rear ends which suck.
second, if you want to drive your car and have fun with it and have it handle correctly then i would stay with the 4a. the 3s is nice, but not worth the time and hassel to put it in. especially since with a w series tranny you add a ton of weight. and there is no need for anything more than 200 wheel hp. which you can get from a 4a all day. plus anything more than 200 wheel and your rear end is going to tell u to fuck off.
you can listen to the rest of these clown's or listen to me, i garuntee i have alot more experience with these car's.
a stock 4agze will give you 160-180 wheelhp and be dead nuts reliable. as well as about 150ftlbs of tq, something you can't get with an n/a build. and you will think its fast as shit considering you currently have about 90 wheel hp. just do gze with rebuilt stock tranny and yoru set. less hassel and alot cheaper than 3s.
here's a list of what you should buy:
jdm ae92/101 4agze motor set (with harness and ecu)
T3 pully
spec or equivilant clutch (stage 2 is fine, nothing to aggressive)
new motor/tranny mounts
go to club 4ag.com and buy a rebuild kit for your t50 (runs about $300 or soo)
install and enjoy.

Buy GZE
Remove/use old mounts from 4AGE
Use T50 from 4AGE
Wiring
Use a dakota digital Tach adapter or solder a resistor in with the correct ohms
Cut hole in hood if you want to use the stock top mount. You can also use an AE92 hood scoop.
AE92/AE101 because. DLI Ignition, MAP (Not sure about early model AE92), Newer/less miles, smaller pulley, oil squirters, higher compression, forged rods, not sure about AE92 but my AE101 has an extra oil drain from the head to the block.
I would also recommend removing the VSV's.
