dont have too many pics of the mr2. didnt really bother since its not done and i havent started on cosmetic work on it yet. its still primer grey but is going to be black like my r1

i bought it as a rolling chassis and its a 92 mr2 turbo chassis. i wanted a true turbo chassis so it would atleast hold some value.

^ Good buy for a project tho! It's always good to have the beginning pics for reference when you're done so you can look back on when it started lol.

I <3 that body style MR2 though, how much does a shell usually cost?

i bought my shell for 800 bucks. had to trailor it from jacksonville but it was worth it. the dood wanted 9 for it but i was like i'll come get it this weekend for 8 and he said deal. these cars are freakin money pits though man. if you want big hp for cheap get yourself a nova or something with a small or big block.

Sounds like a good build should have enough for 500WHP ..

BB isn't needed and is a waste of money and the megasquirt will be fine tuned a car the other day made 616whp on it ..

Eagle rods are also fine . I've had problems with 750 $ Pauter and 980 $ Carillo rods , everything has a small issue . Tuned many cars with eagles to over 650whp

right now im waiting on my high flow oil pump to come in from ats. it wasnt a good idea for me to use the stocker and well im obviously going to need more flow. once its here the motor will only take 30 minutes to finish putting together.

also i went to the post office and sent my stock cam gears to ats in trade with thier adjustable ones. next on the to do list is my injectors ive got to order

ive never heard anything negative on eagle rods either. and as for megasuqirt, nothing wrong with it. quite a few people with 7mgte's on stock internals over 500rwhp using it. and soo ill be one of them once the car is together wit hthe new engine and trans. and for cometic, i dont like it on the 7m, but only because the bores are 86mm in the gasket instead of 85mm like the hks. i like the extra metal between the cylinders. for other engines idk, prolly be fine i suppose.

me either, but all ive read is cometic is 86mm bore and greddy and hks mhg are 85mm. ive had good luck wit hal the hks ones i used, and reused a 2mm hks mhg 5 times once, never had issues with it ever. so i stick with hks. lol
