I'd go 3s if possible. It's capable of the torque you need and is already boosted. Put some sort of air/fuel control and boost control and you're all set.

Listen to nelson because he knows. 4a is for corollas IMO.

The only way I'd even consider an "a" series engine in a "t" chassis would be a turbo 7age. But even then it's not worth the money.

Now get a 3s haha.

Ok, well I sat and thought about it for a while.. and I figure if I can get it done for the right price I'll probably swap a 3S very soon. Time to start getting estimates from shops, because I definitely don't know how to weld and mess with the mounts.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Stop crying cause you want a motor to rev over 8k. Who cares? Why do you want all your power to be up there rather then having all your power around 5-6k? 8k is alot of stress on a motor. I can rev mine up to 7.5 bish. Car still pulls all the way through, that damn 60-1 moves alot of air. Anyone cruising this saturday night? I'm going out to gandy, ofcoarse not to raise but just to cruise, my friends have gsts, and a rx7 tt. I'm trying to get more people to cruise along with us. Let me know.

or you could do a 4agze swap. alot more TQ than a 20v and no custom mounts. or get the 4agze swap sell all the supercharger stuff and do a turbo 4ag. 3s is a real good motor but 4ag is just as good. why hasn't anyone done a v6 celica? damn, 1mzfe with the TRD supercharger in a celica would haul ass.

I'll buy the engine and supporting parts if you will do the work. Make a tutorial or swap package from the practise and market the swap. No bullshit, got the celi sitting right here waiting.

Actually, there is a guy that did a v6 celica. His name is Adrian, and he used to post often on celica.net.

It's a 1MZ from a Solara I believe. He made custom mounts. Apparently it's not a bad fit.

:stupid: yes he is right, he now post on celicatech.net/com. Theres also a twin turbo v8 celica out there in aussie land. Yes check out CT.com for an awsome vid on it. Screw the 1.6 4ag, reguardless if its turbo charged, It will never be a match for the 2.0 3sgte, that motor is the fuckin shizzle, its bullet proof and the potential is unlimited. mike keep us updated, switch to a 3s with a s53 tranny. I might have a spare tranny, if I buy another celica gt.

What tranny do you have in the silver car? I'm kinda weary about running an S53, I don't wanna be replacing a tranny every few months and YES I will be driving it hard. What's the point of having a 3SGTE if you don't drive it hard?

I think my ST has forgotten what it's like to not be at WOT

I'm definitely planning to do the 3SGTE swap. Been thinking about it a lot lately. However, I don't wanna pay out of my ass for a shop to do it. The only problem I will run into is that one mount that has to be moved over from the GT-Four. If I could rent/borrow a welder from someone and have someone competent at welding do that, then I believe I'd be good to go. Nelson, if you wanna help I'm all for picking up a clip and figuring this out. We can get Tom down here, bring a couple other CelicaTech guys over, and have a swap party. Naturally we'll get some work done in there. But someone has to help me wire this thing.
