The "Soarer" is just a SC300 cuz its still LHD, so if anything, its probably a 2JZ-GTE swap... thats what id do, anyways. id actually do the USDM 2JG-GTE w/ a 1JZ head swap. 
and of course, swap the Lexus emblems w/ an Aussie for his Toyota emblems. they are dyin to get their hands on the Lexus emblems.
i would love to get one, cuz the Soarer interchanges TONS of parts w/ the MKIV... except, i think its heavier. but, as long as its lighter than my MK3... i dont care! I just want to know where i can find a SC300 w/ a stick!
