right on with the SHO remark. Yamaha is the world leader in head design IMO. i would put the yamaha tuning star logo on my supra but some kid in a civic would think its rice and probably wouldnt understand. i would have to boost on that ass and get a ticket most likly

concerning the yamaha head on 2j(stock) i dont think so. i hear it was getting too expensive for a production motor. not sure but thats wat i herd.

Agent - show me real numbers from a 1JZ.... show me why a 1JZ is better than a 2JZ, show me real proof. None of the 1JZ guys are putting good reliable strong numbers as opposed to the 2JZ. When I get another MK3 I will be also doing a 1JZ swap but not because I think they are any better than the 2JZ (which they are far from), but because of its rarity and because its a way better sign than the 7MGTE which was obviously not designed to be turbo from the beginning. 2JZ swap on an MK3 will be too costly as opposed to t a 1JZ.
The reason the stock turbos shatter when any more than 15 or so PSI is because they are ceramic blades, which do not mix well with heat. The 2nd turbo on the 2JZ's are made out of ceramic as well which is why the 2JZ guys always blow their 2nd turbo.
I pitty you for even saying you want a 1G-GTE....

well the fact that all of the mkiv supras(2jz) are fast as hell and have SOO much power is that the people tuning them have bottomless pockets. the mkiv supra is hard to obtain in turbo trim under 25k. so the owners obviously have the cash.
if i had that kind of finacing i would show you proof by making my tail lights get smaller. in no way am i trying to start a pissing contest or be arrogent. just because i belive the 1jz is better i dont ask you to agree, i only ask you to just listen. if i could read japaneese i would search out some dyno graphs from FEAST AUTO or some other JDM tuner. it all boils down to how fast you want to go, or how much power you want to make is how much you will pay.

Still no proof man, I will give you all the proof in the world to show you that the 1JZ does NOT and will NOT ever compete with the 2JZ in power. 1JZ is still hardly competing with the 7M, which has some been showing way better numbers on dynoes than a 1JZ..... www.7mpower.com Although I still like the 1JZ better than the 7M for MANY reasons which I will babble on about tomorrow when I am not liquored up on Nyquil........ good night!!

I am not turning this into a pissing contest! I am not being negative at all, I just want the people here not to be misguided with information like how it was on the MK3 section of supraforums, whereeverybody know everything because they heard it through someone else and they would reword things to make it seem like they knew what they were talking about

i know with those same mods the 1j could get those good numbers, with exception to the fact that the turbos are not good for anything abouve 14pounds in stock trim. that is where the 2jz has the upper hand. as for the links and proof, if someone really needs it go on the internet and find it. i dont have everything bookmarked. look at niels 1jz im not sure if he has a graph on that site but i have seen his dyno run clip.
