Ask Matt about the White 07 limited we built in the shop that made 560 to the wheels and is DD. Engine Lab of Tampa did all the machine work. As far I as i know we are the only ones who built bridges in the block.

That car now has about 15k on the engine since we built it.

Im using drop in pistons you think their no machine work needed your wrong, when using forged pistons thay require more piston to wall clearance than stock cause the expantion rate is greater cause they are forged. so they require you to take out about .002 to .004 out depending on cylinder size

and as for trusting a machine shop once you get the block back you should still measure for cylinder taper and for out of round with a dial bore gauge whitch is pretty simple and for honing you can do that yourself with a ball hone pistons come with a spec sheet that says the angle of cross hatch

so you telling me a shop builds a motor for you and uses stock crank with .002 undersize bearings and didnt realize thay got undersize bearings (THIS HAPPENS) they just assemble it with no measuring and runs fine for bout 1000 miles and then starts knocking and you pull it apart and realize the clearance was to tight and staved for oil. NOW WHO IS AT FAULT

Hmm not sure who you talked to at Godwin-Singer. The owner showed me a forester motor they rebuilt. Bottom end heads and all. Good luck with whatever route you choose to go. Ill have em do my block soon and let you check it out if yours isnt done by then if you want.

I agree with you especially if you plan on running high boost on the motor but you and I are the lesser of the majority. Most people i know and a lot of builds on Nasioc just drop them in. I would definitely check and measure myself but the reason to pay a machine shop is for them to do it right and for them to properly hone not me to cleanup their work. thats wy someone with subie experience is preferred for me

im just trying to say you dont need to ship your block out or send it to high end place because they are big an have nice cars an bla bla bla I would rather take my block to a small dad an son place cause they will take their time on it they are about makeing their customers happy they arnt out just to get the money like some of these big name places that want to charge high prices and you cant even talk to the guy that does the machine work.

^have you got your block back? I'd love to see how the mahining turns out. I really would like to do it somewhere local rather then paying shipping and extra cost so if they do a ood job for you I might try them out.

I've been told the guy beats the hell out of the car and its running great. I know the guy tracks it, so I'm sure it sees its fair time running the 550+ whp. I think he made like 460whp on 93 oct.

His is the email response I got from G-s.

Joseph,
To this point, we havn"t done much with these. We have a customer right now that we are going to install a sleeve and do other things for him. After we get into his a little more we can give you good pricing for whatever machining operations you need. We would need to inspect all your parts to determine what is necessary.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Linda
