S&R got my new block in and it has been sent to the machine shop. Hopefully Taylor can start engine assembly next week. Bobby is shooting for having my car back on the road for breakin in 2 1/2 weeks, then getting it tuned. The new wheels (Axxis Halo's, 18x9.5) are on order. I will now have 2 sets of spare wheels, the stock 5spoke chromed wheels and the SSR type-c's. both in 18x8.5. I will probably keep the SSR's for the track and get a soft compound 245 tire for track days (the street tires for the Halo's are the Sumitomo HTZ III's in 275/35/18

youre ballin out of control
Just as an update, Durden(Taylor) at S&R has the motor partially assembled in the new block and is awaiting new piston rings(yes, they were ruined too) to finish assembly. We just ordered a Cosworth oil pump and a KillerBee oil pickup tube. Bobby feels that the stock cooling system is fine, so we will leave that alone for now.
Yes. My older son has a blue 06WRX and my younger son has a red 08 Impreza sedan; they both live with us. You must live around here too? Right now I'm driving the silver Corvette, although I may be trading it.
Ilm happy to report that Durden has finished building my motor and it is installed and running. Bobby drove it home tonight and reports that it runs great, although he stayed out of boost due to the weather and not wanting to have to explain any mishaps to me! If he can get out ok, he will drive it to the Wing House tomorrow night. I should be there with my new Subaru parts runner (05 Vette traded for 09 Ridgeline (AWD, of course)). Scott will be tuning it next week, after we put 500mi. on the motor. Thanks to the great efforts of all the S&R crew and Durden's expert engine building! See you Saturday night.
