LD, sorry man...
the exhaust leak was fixed prior to the fire... and its ceramic coated and heat wrapped, so i doubt without the leak it was getting hot enough to burn through any kind of line
update is that repairing it may take more time/money than I really want to spend. My plan is to get into racing, and the subaru would never be competitive in any kind of class... I am considering parting it out and running a historic 911 as a track/race car with different setups for each (seeing as the race engine has to be rebuilt every 30-40 hours)
If I do decide to go this route, I will post the partout up... or if anyone wants to buy the whole car and just swap a new engine bay in. The cage is worth quite a bit of money

60s 911 body FTMFW
motor just needs to be cleaned up. Like I said in some earlier posts, I shut it off pretty quickly. There is just burnt crap on the outside, but the engine takes tens of thousands of explosions inside it every minute, fire really isnt a problem... also from the pictures it doesnt look like the fire even spread to the engine. Got as far as the turbo inlet, but thats about it. everything else just melted from heat under the hood.

I've got like 10 people interested in the tranny already. I would ideally like to sell the whole drivetrain together to be honest. transmission, driveshaft, rear diff, axles, 04 sti rear knuckles and hubs, 6gun racing sti front hubs drilled to 5x100 with knuckles.... all of that only has 10k miles (except for the knuckles and hubs which were all new so they only have 5k miles)

everyone thinks that track is so dangerous... its pretty rare that people do wreck. when they do its usually people that bought cars too fast for them that got solo'd off because of the speed of the car. then they are driving in over their heads and try to immediately switch from 70% to 101% thinking they are "pushing it"
ive only even spun out once (in the dry) and it was from hitting a bump in the braking zone in a non-ABS car, locking up a front wheel, and doing a 180
