yeah the $5k is just for the gearset.

 

Well worth it though. I can always pull the tranny if i am selling the car and get 4500-5k for it all day.

As for what Homemade said, he has a point. 08' is just way to much money involved. However almost any subaru build will cost a ton, but thats why we own subaru's.... Where ballers and all daiting super models. lol


If you did a GC8 build it would be sick and very rare, although cost a lot less then a 2006+ build.

that's why if playing(seriously) with a subaru either it'll be a slow painful and expensive process of turning a nice new car into a racecar...

OR

get an old impreza and do all the work from the ground up...much cheaper

So you wanted to be faster than your bike? And you have a base impreza? I had 03wrx then traded for an STI to be faster. Then I put a ton of $ into the STI to be faster. Then I had it tuned to be faster. But even after all that its still not faster then my bike...

 

because you are going at it the wrong way

in all reality, you will have to do a lot of work to make a car faster than a bike...I have no doubt mine will be in both turns and a straigtline (so worked 1L's and things with turbos will still be an issue )
