here's an owner! Before getting the SRT-4, I was looking at Evo's... STI's would of been prefered but was out of my wife and I budget. The (2) Evo's I did look at seem to have been ragged on in some way or form. I like Evo's but I rather own an STI. Evo's suck from rolls, if you can launch them correctly they are great from digs. An STI whether dig or roll seems to perform in all aspects.

Although I give the Evo credit because with just a flash, drop-in filter and TBE it runs impressive numbers.

Since this thread is not about the SRT-4, I won't comment on the car. Let's not bring it up because there's been too many threads already in which people have flamed the car.

I see where your coming from. True on the bov (only if they have the Mopar Blue Plate), but I ended up going with an HKS SSQV. Tell you what if the SRT-4 was awd that would be awesome, I can live with that... 6-speed eh.

But your right... the cars to get are Evo's, STI's/WRX, SRT-4's. Some have their differences and some lack some options that would have gone great with the car but I think they all have great applications.

Whats wrong with the 6spd..How can those go wrong? Oh yeah i heard that the stock sti does 0-60 in 4.5 sec...and i realized why....my friends 04 sti max's 65 in first gear...pretty crazy...but also been doing research...seen the "09 sti"...heard bout the evo X....wats up with the 08-09 srt-4??Maybe Dodge is researching AWD and a 6spd tranny.I hope they aren't being replaced by the caliber srt-4

I'm so used to 5 speed. I guess I would need to try a 6-speed. The SRT-4 that's coming out is the Caliber SRT-4, looks a bit aggressive over the standard Cailber. Nice size intercooler as well. The interior... eh I really don't like it. I don't know why they are replacing the Neon SRT-4 with that car, it really is ugly. What I heard is Dodge is researching into AWD or RWD and possibly a 6-speed for the Caliber SRT-4 don't know which year though because they already have "test" Caliber SRT-4's on the road and going to events. The Caliber SRT-4 is supposely netting 280whp stock.

lol, if i wanted another evo, i'd buy one. heck if i wanted 2 more evo's i'd buy 2...after being so disappointed with my 06 evo ix...i doubt i'll go back.

now that the 4g63 is gone...im looking forward to seeing how the new engine does...as well is the new smg style tranny. i can see all the warranties getting denied now...i was surprised how fast they voided my warranty on my stock car...with only 4k miles...with no racing...or launching...I couldn't support a company that doesn't back their products.

hehe, opinion from a non turbo mitsubishi owner? haha

Atleast when i had a dsm beater, it had 400whp...and was turbo
