I don't understand, your car is completely paid off and you can't find a subaru dealership that is willing to take your impreza in trade for a wrx???

Also, i think a wrx-to-sti swap would be, not only easier, but also more rewarding in the end. if you wanted to do an sti swap, then I'd be chearing you on, but honestly the money it would cost you to swap your car to a wrx would be a waste, because you wouldn't be satisfied in the end.... it would just be the begining of a new project: upgrading your wrx to an sti

why do you need to look at your tach... the automatic transmission will shift right on time regardless if you are looking straight ahead or slightly to one side on your cluster

oh my, I hope you are joking... are you 16 or just a moron? Those gears are there incase you happen to tow something or if you are on mountains and you dont want the car to shift (for the extra tq) not so you can trick the civic next to you that you have a manual... do you put your car in "N" at stop lights so you can roll back a little too?

ya you're right, manuals dont save on gas because they have the extra gear (or two) its because you can feel the shift... if you drive like a sane human being your car will shift low as it is, but obviously if you floor it at every stoplight the car in gunna redline or get pretty close

plus you are already saving gas because you dont have a turbo and you have the luxury of using 89 oct. instead of 93+

True but i dont floor it and trust me i know how to drive it like driving a stick...i'll shift at or near a low rpm but still getting me away from the driver that cut in front of me then throw it in drive..and i take my foot off the gas..so really i dont see any harm!! Just pull up next to me one day...you'll find out!!!

What I'm trying to say is that your auto tranny isnt made to be constently shifted like that... they are only there for specific reasons (listed earlier)

I'll pull up next to you one day and you can do all the fancy shifting you want... I'll watch from the rearview mirror

he's not being a duetshe... shifting like this seriously bad for your automatic transmission.. if you want a stick then get a stick dont drive your auto like it is, thats just rice and immature..

and dont expect to ever sell your car on TR from now on, lol. "hey isnt that the guy that manually shift his auto RS?"
