I can honestly say that on ka-t.org, I have not came across one person who has complained about Martin's tune(s). I myself have nothing to complain about either. I've been using his tune for pushing 2 years and not one hiccup thus far.

 

If speed density is the proper way to set up turbocharged cars, can you name one that was ever produced that was speed denisty, turbocharged from the factory ?

I get that you like speed density .. I know you do fine work, I never question that, nor will you ever meet anyone that I have talked bad about you to. Like I asked above.. name one forced induction car that is speed density from the factory. You realize that everything from the MK4 supra to the Bugatti Veyron to the Ford GT40, Lightning, R35 GTR etcc etc etc... is all MAF based ? You have to realize that every automotive engineer on the planet is not dumber than you.

 

Yea, you got me figured out. I'm just someone that has tested MAF vs MAP personally and have seen substantial gains. And I have also tested factory retuned ecus vs standalones and have seen substaintial gains. Not very much peak but, substaintial midrange gains. Where it counts. I have never had the need to bring any of my personal cars to anyone. I do my own thing and have retuned Martin tunes and gained power and drive ability quality was increased. I have also fixed cars that z-fever gave up on, when it was a simple problem. Small example, CBRTRX's s14(the one he bough after my brother smoked his heads/cam/250shot fixed roof coupe with a stock block SR w/ t3t4b@15psi, 140 shot on a AEM EMS, the same car that used to embarrass Paul every weekend) you couldn't figure it out. Just needed some cams that weren't worn out and off a tooth. This was when I actually gave a shit, circa '06. Been doing this since xat was on alt 19 in Clearwater....

Martin, the BMW 335i's(the new supra) is speed density and guys are making 600whp with simple piggybacks, stock blocks, stock turbos, and meth injection. Just because you make a living off these rom tunes, don't spread bad info. Name one example of a record breaking car running a rom tune. All these record breaking FWD Hondas are all running standalones and Honda rom tuning makes Nissan rom tunes look like an afc tune. What about all the quick supras, the first thing they ditch is the MAF and factory ecus. You mention mazworx, their slight hiccup with their standalone. There is a reason they ditched the MAF and factory ecu. When they had this problem, they didn't just say: fuck it, this standalone sux lets just use a rom tune... You proved my point before i even tried to make one. Did import DPS use a rom tune/MAF on their KA-T or VE? not at all! Also FYI ph34r also works/worked for enthalpy. You need your coworkers to stick up for you? Should I link this discussion to other forums that aren't in the crowd of misinformed? Then we'll see if your theory about factory rom tunes and MAF's can hold a candle in the wind.

 

Just because your car runs doesn't mean it's running to its full potential. Anyone can put a cookie cutter basemap on your car with no timing in it, get the a/f'd right and say your car is "tuned". Doesn't mean it is.

 

And with this class on how there is a bunch of nutswinging and misinformation spread on the interwebz, I am through. Say what you may, just do the research and bcome enlightened.

What the fuck are you talking about, "DAN" has never tuned any of Juiced2nd's cars. If you werent too busy reading dumb shit you would have realized that much of said racing occured before your join date, hence many years ago. You as well as I hold no relevance in this discussion. But it definitely was a cool story.

 

Ok so lets get back on topic. If you're wanting to go with a standalone, contact alpha @ induction performance. They will set u in the right track.
