Complete 1986 H/O 5.0 Engine
It looks to clean to have 100k on it.
I think that it is possible that the owner purchased this from a salvage yard in early 1987 and has had it in storage since then thinking he would use it some day.
I saw a 1993 Cobra R at the 45th anniversary show with 25 miles on it and still had the platic on the seats with all the crayon markings from ford on the windows and the window sticker still on the windows.
Maybe the seller could come up with a receipt from where it was purchased in 1987.
Or it was from his own persoanl car that was totaled and he kept the drivetrain.
WHERES THE T5????
With That low of mileage the T5 would be worth more than the engine.
Rare no.

Im recanting on the milage, sorry for language man. On closer look at pictures detail certain things look too clean. Now on value I still cant see too much more than the standard 302. An engine sitting for 22 years gets damage to seals, bearings, valve springs and more.

I realize that the engine would take damage after sitting for 22 years, But what if it was only sitting for 5 years?
Or are you implying that if it has the original seals and stuff even if it was only sitting for 5 years and all the years prior to that the engine was ran every so often that they would still have gone bad?
I think even if the seals and bearings were wrong wouldn't they be cheap to replace? since most of the cost for replacing those parts comes from the labor of pulling out the engine? I appreciate all the help guys.
Look at the black plastic casting core cover in the intake. You almost never see them anymore because they fall off.

Sure, but ANY sbf can be rebuilt for 150 in parts, and if needed 1-200 machining.
