Default Complete 1986 H/O 5.0 Engine

My uncle has a 1986 H/O 5.0 engine that has been in storage for the last few years, inside and kept very secure and well protected. It has 4,838 original miles on it.

Engine has absolutely everything I'm pretty sure. I ran over it with him and got all the things he said it had. If you see something in the pics I forgot to mention please let me know, or if you want to know if it has something let me know, ill call him up and ask him for it.
Prefer local pickup obviously because well its an engine lol but if you got enough money, I will ship it. I talked to Autozone and they want $4,000 for just the engine block not all the other stuff I have on it. So I'd like to get somewhere around $3,000 for it, because of the rarity and the quality.
I will part out if it doesnt sell in like 2-3 months, I'd like to get rid of it all at one time.

Here is all the things he said it has.

Complete wiring harness for inside and outside of the firewall
Steering wheel
Air intake box
Computer, brain, fuse box
a/c control panel with all the wires to hook it up
Speed o' meter
Distributor
Alternator
Air pollution pump
water pump
harmonic balancer
complete 1986 5.0 H/O engine with 4,838 original miles
factory headers
starter
fuel lines
bail housing
fly wheel
clutch arm
clutch
pressure plate

That was when it went together and by then the engines were well into production for 1987 models. So, it's an 87 motor with the forged pistons, not the flat-top with no valve reliefs the 86s had.

Rarity? Sorry to rain on your parade, man, (not really) but there's nothing rare about it. Low miles or not. It's just a stock motor which around the boards can be had anywhere from $100 to $400. What Autozone or other parts stores are asking means absolutely nothing. Anyone buying those parts store motors haven't a clue about the Mustang hobby. That one would probably make a great spare for someone to blow up later. You need more pictures of all that 1987 wiring. I don't think you have a enough repetative pictures.

First of all, thanks for not being sarcastic.
I do appreciate your advice, as i don't know much about engines. Thats just what my uncle said it was and i went by what he said, hoping if he was wrong someone would correct me, so thank you for that.
Like I said, he's the one that wants me to sell it, and he said he wasnt going to take a few hundred $ for it, he'd rather sit on it and use it for his truck, Which is fine by me also since all I had to do was create the listings.

Thanks again for the advice, I hope that sarcasm gets you a long way throughout your life.

Yes, unfortuanatly their right about that. You can get lower mileage ones fairly cheap these days. What you have going for you is the mileage that its got on it, but no wheres near that price. G/L

damn, that sucks. My uncle told me not to take any less than $2,500 for it. So i put the price that high hoping I could get chewed down to close to that tbh. it sucks he might have to take such a loss on it.

I'll ask him today or tomorrow, and let you know.
What sounds reasonable so I can have a # to throw at him?
