Im not going to set here and try to be some internet thug so im going to leave it at that.

you better be seeing John at Secret Services if you wanna run that much boost... and as a matter of power...theoretically speaking, say a 20G makes 300whp at 15psi on your setup...a Big 16G at 15psi isnt going to make the same power..when people say psi and dont give say what turbo, all i know is how much their fuel pressure raises at full boost...

i just forsee many problems with you trying to run mid/big turbo's on that little 1.6... try out a 14B first since u have one, see how much lag you get with it at 8psi and then see your power output...if its acceptable, work your way up. if it spools up just right, or a little too quick for ya, clip it. like i said earlier though, your endeaver needs to be well planned and thought out...talk to John at SS though, he is probably the man to see regarding getting the car tuned in and better recommendation of turbo selection for your application.

What do ya know. You have to put in your fucking 2 cents about something. Every fucking time you post it's to put someone elses shit down. You wonder why everyone talks shit about you. How bout this, you get that POS laser of yours running and stop w/the "immuna" do this and "Immuna" do that. You think you fucking know everything and that you can put everyone elses shit down. Fuck that. You don't know SHIT! You sit there and try telling me you've had "experience" launching an AWD and that it's easy. Get real. How long did you have the car before you blew the motor? Unless you just practice "launching" it in your driveway w/no motor Your a fucking idiot. Change your fucking attitude and everyone won't give your stupid ass shit all the time.

damn. I say go the super 16g from experience and seeing fellow dsm's race they seem to make as much power low end as a 14b but excel tremendously top end. Btw i was wonderin if someone could tell me the setup glenns boy is runnin when he raced my friend eric(circuiteclipse) a couple wendsdays back and claimed 400hp?

b18c1 with a nice drag kit with hondata will put down 275whp+
b18b1 with a drag kit and hondata 240whp+

now look at the base hp with those two engines
c1 170hp cr 10.0:1
b1 140hp cr 9.2:1
d16y7 more or less 100whp

now when you exceed the 14psi (more or less pending block condition) you run the risk of cracking, melting, blowing, etc the sleeves
yes this doesn’t have to be a daily car but my biggest point is the simple fact that there is no way to make that much hp with a d 16y7 i could see maybe a sleeved y8 with some great head work and allot of money invested in a turbo kit
the hf mani is a great idea because of the plentiful of them and the price but the flow of it isn’t the best for the numbers you want a tubular mani is almost the only way to go imo
not to mention the flow of the d series heads simply sucks in comparison to the b series simply their economy engines

ya sorry for being a "internet hardass" in my first reply but your hp estimations are just ungodly high

now id love to see a d series do that but its not realistic

greatest thing about d series is that their a lot cheaper that b series so when you blow one you can pick up another for a lot less than a b series which makes the idea of building a d series all that much sweeter
funny thing is, Trip made 232/197 with a completely stock D series on a turbo....guy in orlando made 300+ on stock bottom end till he got obnoxious with the boost.....and to think, im not even a honda guy?
