An aluminum block is much lighter than an iron block. The KA is much heavier.

There is about a 60 pound difference between a complete stock ka and a complete stock sr. The ka is heavier, but it isn't a huge rb difference. lol

The KA is 60ish lbs heavier stock, add the weight of the turbo stuff and it bring that total closer to 80-90lbs. Thats alot of extra weight on the front end. There is no way around that. Some people do just fine with the KA-T at autocross events and RR.

Its what ever though, KA is a very good street motor and I dont disagree with them. It just doesnt fit the goals for my car.

^ agree, I don't think one is superior to another either. They both have their merits and drawbacks. By the way some people talk about ka's on this site it seems like they are boat anchors or something, it's not true at all. A stock ka is not a fair comparison to a stock sr on any level either, neither are most boosted ka's for that matter... It's like apples to oranges imo.

Get a full RB25DET and RB25 transmission on a scale next to an SR20det and its matching transmission and prove it, i'll put $100 says it doesnt even come within 100 lbs.
