Yeah, because its too heavy, just like I wouldnt put any inline motor in my car. I'll be happy with the 300hp SR I'm building right now. I'm building my current motor for me, not for anyone else and I'm building how I want it. If I want more power later on its a turbo, injectors and a tune and thats another 75-80hp. Thats good enough for me.

And I wouldnt want a KA-T because of the weight penalty that goes with it. Same with Inline 6 motors. Like I said I'm performance orientated, not fashion.

My point has been proven. Im done with this tread. Your building you sr for you the way you want it. This guy is building his truck his way the way he wants it. Just dont build your engine with any cheap ass chaina parts. Im all about performance too cause I put all my money in my suspension/engine thats why I still have stock body 240.

My goal is specifically for performance. What is his? So he can grab 2x4's faster from home depot? Or to be "different"?

Thats my point, he is spending alot of time and money on some weird ass swap for no real reason other than the fact that he has to much time and money to spend on such a usless swap.

There isnt any knock off parts on my car (radiator was but that blew up,) or the motor. Car is 100$ legit.

The only reason I have wheels or aero is becasue the wheels were 100$ and the skirts/valences were 80$

I'm sure the guy will enjoy the truck for a while though. What ever makes him happy. I still dont see the point in such a usless swap. I see it as a waste of time. Much better platforms to put that motor in and spend money on.

Didn't read the last 15 posts.

There are certainly some people on this forum that could do with thinking inside the box a little more. Where's the dyno of the 1.5-scroll manifold already?

I'm so non-conformist, I'm not conforming with all the "different is better" people and building an SR 240.

lately I wanna do a GM s/ced 3.8 into a 240 lately. Just do some pulley and other bolt ons. Id think it be a pretty fun car and probably cheaper than most swaps

^ I like my ka-t... lol I don't think it's that heavy. You should take a ride in it sometime. Ask Eric about it lol.
