Again, pay attention I know you are slow and all, but its not that hard to grasp.

This set of headers was to meet the following things:
1. get exhaust from exhaust flange on my 6.0L heads to the collector under the floor pan of my S13, without hanging super low.
2. be a good item for me to learn tig welding on without wasting a bunch of gas and filler for nothing
3. be cheap and temporary

# 1 is just about complete
# 2, things are looking a good deal better already since the first time I struck an arc with my new tig.
# 3 at under $150 in materials, and they will do plenty well for the month or two I plan to use them, I think they will meet this requirement just fine.

Continue on with your improperly pair'd runners, and your $8 each weld-el's there mr trepanier.
So when is your dumb ass going to start poking holes in my bubble. I dont understand how you (z28ricer) are talking shit about someones welds when that person that is talking shit (again z28ricer) has no fucking idea what they are doing. Since you dont like to waste gas Im guessing your post-flow will be set at 1 sec on your welder so you will have NO color when to start welding stainless. But your prob use to that since I see you like doing gay ass pie cuts. When you could just cut one piece that fits. You on the other hand want to cut 30 pieces.

gonna play devil's advocate here:

1. who PURPOSELY fabricates an improperly paired manifold? (the "clearance" argument doesn't cut it)

2. no one claimed it was purposely built that way until it was pointed out that it was wrong. (b-b-b-backpedal)

3. who would really want a T28 topmount? the only way this would be an acceptable idea is if they were only using the T28 for temporary use until they upgrade to a GT2871r...which brings up the issue of a) do it right or do it twice, why not wait until you have all of the correct parts in?, and b) even a gt2871r would fit nicely in bottom mount, and still win the CoG argument.

4. looking on par with top quality stuff, and being on par are totally different worlds. props to the fab guy who can make the manifold, as it's better than anything i could ever do, but full-race and some of the other top companies have a few years of proven longevity over the rest of us. even my manifold, made by a top fab guy, had issues and had a failure after 4 years.

Why does clearance issues not cut it??? Have you built a bottom mount set up with a evo turbo?? Do you know what the clearances are??

The reason no one claimed it was purposely built that way till now is cause honestly I did not think the argument would go on for so long. OK I built a wrongly paired manifold for my personal car. Its never been done wrong on a costumers car nor will it ever be done wrong.

I still dont know whats wrong with doing a top mount t28 its not necessary. But shit cant ppl be different. Is that not what this whole car thing is about, to be different from the person next to you. Im only arguing about cg to bring the point that you can build something to maximize performance while helping other aspects of the car.

Where do you think those full-race, peak boost guys started??? From the garage just like my friend and I are doing. To that point even the top companies manifolds fail. Just because you are a big name company does not mean everything you build does not have a chance to fail. Why do you think the have life time warrantys.

Clearance doesnt cut it, remember you are mr top flight fabricator of the world

Whats wrong with a top mount T28 ? Seriously ? If you are spending the money on a manifold, you've got to be pretty damn stupid to relocate the itty bitty T28 in the first place, GT2871 and up, you've pulled a stupid if you decided not to go for at least the larger T3 flange. Being "different" usually falls under "stupid"

My swap isnt being done for anything remotely close to "unique" im not some dumb ricer, those seem to be your customers, stick to em.

I can say something about your welds, because I didnt claim mine were perfect, again you moron, im still practicing, while you mr top flight fabricator of the world, have decided to say something about my practice welds, when seriously I'm pretty sure thats why youve got one pic for each of your products on your website, cause your welds aint so shit-hot, childhoodproductions indeed.

Again, please see the goals of that set of headers before you decide to run your mouth about how I went about it.

Since your not mr top fabricator then you dont know clearances have a big part on how you build something. Dont talk till you learn that.

So you say being different falls under being stupid. Ok so since you did a v8 instead of a sr you are stupid. (btw ls1 swap is so 2001 brah)You should not talk bad about my customers cause some of them are on TR and seeing you calling them dumb. So my costumer with the 700 awd hp evo civic is stupid for being different.

I dont have all my pics on the website cause there would be millions of pics. I know how to weld and im damn good at it. Ill post up my welds if you would like me to prove you wrong. Plus childhoodproductions is another company of my friends brothers so why dont you talk shit about the right company jackass.

That's a great example of how the pissing matches get way out of hand. By the way, I'd just like you to know that the manifold that I'm building will be made from Inconel with Cosworth repurposing their F1 design and testing data for my application. It'll be welded with FR's robotic welder while Geoff Raicer and I do The Robot. The whole assembly will be cryo and WPC treated for strength, which will be necessary so that I can lift the entire car up by the wastegate flange, as designed in Pro-E supported by thorough FEA. By the way NASA wants me to build a second one for their next lunar vehicle. So, Z28Ricer, I see you're building headers using mild...
