And then the srt-4 owner would go out and spend a few grand and drop a few seconds off his e.t. with the ease only a factory turbo car could provide. I'd go for the Neon- it's going to be cheaper and easier than building up a nonturbo sentra and it starts out faster, too.

I really doubt that for the same price a spec V could take an SRT-4... even then.. its still a weak Spec V motor, and has no further potential.. where as the SRT-4 is 400+ whp stock motor capible..

ive never been to impressed with the spec-v's they were nice but thats about it they look good. if it were me i would get an older classic or nx2000 or a 200 sx se-r. you can do mor ewith them and get a Substantial horsepower gain from simple bolt ons. another thing to think about is how fast do you want to go i havent driven a spec-v since i worked at nissan when they first came out...but i took one out at night and opened it up and it had a governor at 110 or 120 something like that. ive gotten my nx2000 up to 140 and got scared and slowed down....im a wuss i know....but if your going to be choosing between the spec-v or the se-r get the nismo spec-v....theres one here in sarasota at gettle nissan it looked really nice for 27000 i wish i had that kinda money laying around but then again if i had that kinda money my nx would be done by now

just my .02

i dont agree with the comment about the qr25de(spec-v) motor not having potential...... its not because i have a spec-v but because ive seen it. theres a 400 whp spec-v which has been running for a few months now with no problem and i have to say..... that thing is a beast........ it takes some pistons, rods, sleeves and a few other things but it can ge up there ......... read about it guys..... go to b15sentra.net or www.thevboard.com if u want to learn a bit more about it......... im gonna be doing about 255 - 260 whp wih my turbo kit because i got jwt cams..... ill keep u guys posted

There is no point ant spending 27000 for a sentra...

buy a used car for 10K and spend the other 17 burninating everyone with an S13....

The only thing that the SRT-4 needs is an LSD Tranny.

The 04's do .

I have a 02 SER and my bestfreind has a 04 SRT .
I have minor mods and it still isn't close .
I'd go with a srt anytime . I got i/h/e/p/g and best et. so far is
14.9 . My ser has a open dif. and 60 ft.s are 2.2 and higher .
If some how you get a Spec get a 04 . 02 and 03 have alot of recalls . . Goodluck
