Slicks should be at my door step tomorrow and clutch will be fixed in the next few weeks. 12's here I come
Sounds awesome! Good luck hittin the 12s.

If I were to get one, which I'm still dumb enough to waste money on my front driver, I'd get the Spec-V. Good options for the money. They torque steer pretty badly, I think, and they run out of revs too early. If you are serious about a nice car for the same money, I'd look at the Mazdaspeed Protege and that gay turbo Neon before I bought a new Sentra. Just my thoughts. Oh yeah, the new Sentras don't have torque, sorry to say. Myabe compared to a Honda. You want torque, get in my buddy's Mustang.

Yeah the Mazdaspeed is a great car, but the Spec V is just as quick for less money. The Neon is fast as hell, but its a Neon and once again its more $. The Spec V just gives you the best bang for your buck. And with turbos just about to hit the market, youre gonna be lookin at some fast cars. Oh and about the torque. You have to look at the car for what it is. An N/A 4 cylinder. Not a big-ass V8. And for an N/A 4 it makes great torque.

the only place you can hang with a Mazdaspeed protege is in a straight line. As soon as you take a turn, you're only seeing taillights.

And bang for the buck, the SRT-4 is the BEST car on the market today. It throws out any vestige of quality and goes after performance, and does it well. Even when you add the price differences, it'd be hard to make a Spec V run with a stock SRT-4. 220 front whp.....you need to find 80 whp from a Spec V....not to mention something like 130 lb-ft at the wheels.

True the torque would be hard to match, but the turbos coming out for the Spec claim 240whp. And with the price of the turbo on top of the Spec V the two come out about equal. I havent heard any torque numbers yet, but i would guess around 200 lb-ft. The SRT-4 may have the edge still, but it would be a damn good race.

The torque will be much higher than that. Most Spec V put out an average of 10-15 more tq over hp. Once the Spec T project is finished we should know for sure what the number will be.
