Why buy megan coilovers ?
My wheels poke and my car's a 4X4! Booyah!
7/5 would be nice as long as you have some sways to go with it. That way you can play with compression/rebound and not have to worry about not having enough roll stiffness to balance it out.
I will say the best my car ever rode personally was when I put the ES upright bushings in and they were fully greased. I still had the 8/6k springs and it was way smoother than it is now even with the softer springs. But now that they're pretty much out of grease they suck, which is why I really wish my sphericals would ship already.
I figure 6k/4.5k springs, progress bars all around and an entire spherical rear suspension the car should drive pretty damn nice. Even with sorta over stiff JDM shock valving.

i have megan streets on mine and to be completely honest i bought them because they were coil overs that were stiff and lowered my car but i got them barely used for a really good price. and my only complains about them is that after they finally broke in a few months down the road the front became a little squishy-er but hasnt effected anything.
now on other note a friend of mine just picked up some k-sport coils and well i want them lol they are stiffer and go lower with a nice ride

My stance(8/6k) damper setings are: 1= smoooth yet firm. 3-5= wow...thats getting stiff. 8-10=I guess if your running supper sticky tires this could be usefull. 10-16=Rattle your teeth loose stiff!
Megans really aren't worth the money anymore. I bought mine about 4 years ago used from moderator Dan for super cheap and both of us put a total of about 80k on them and they only started to make noise after I sold them. But after switching to my gr+ pro I now hate the megans in terms of comfortability and performance. Plus my coilovers cost me like $80 more from a vendor on zilvia. Most of the people in this thread with megans have had nothing else and don't do anything with their car to notice.
Damnit Epstein, now you've got me considering ordering the 8611's instead of the 10's, was all content going "noo, im not building a racecar, just a nice DD" and you got to go mentioning how well the 8611's rode.
Tim if you want to try out same spring rate all around, let me know i've got a pair of bilstein 5ks, and im pretty sure they're 60mm.

5k all around would be cool with Tim's non-stagger. Those springs should be around 6-7" long for those JIC's

if youre too lazy to get out of the car, then you should be in a wheelchair.
also, ive adjusted my damping maybe 3 times this year.
and i know the stiffness is mostly the damping, but eh, fuck it, ill give the springs a shot.
