Why buy megan coilovers ?
History repeats itself. People used to do Koni Yellows and GC's. That setup is making a comeback on the heels of the 8610/8611 and Bilstein setups that are being put together. I just did a Koni/GC setup on my brother's car. It rides and handles like a dream! 7k/5k, tweaked a few things to increase travel down low. This isn't a con-Megan remark, but a pro-Koni one.
It's a lot more general than cheap coilovers, but I like the argument that "I'm building a track car". F-ing lol. Take the Nismo Z for example. Doesn't ride like complete asshole on the street, non adjustable, zero sphericals, not dumped, will eat other cars on the track straight off the showroom floor.

Bingo, the koni/gc setup is $989 from shox.com, tokico adjustables and BG springs for $842, konis with eibach stock type springs $799, any of them should far outperform the megan's, in both ride and actual handling.
Definetly doesnt hurt for this kind of info, on real, useful suspension, that does something other than "hey it gets real low and rides stiff as fuck y0"
My argument is simple, and only for megan coilovers, because I actually used them, for the price, and lack of problems, I more than got my money's worth reguardless of what else is/was out there at the time. How can you argue that. 4+ years of decently hard driving on them. The other names you mentioned or are talking about I have no experience with so i can't say either way.

LOL I hate both those. Trust me I had a hard time deciding whether to get these or not. Not unhappy with my decision at all in the end. Im planning on switching out these springs this summer and auto crossing the car as well. They are good enough for what I do currently, i'm content with my choice. We all arent trying to build balls out super cars.

And yet you completely fail to understand, that for the price, you could have gotten something that would have performed better, or at least fail to acknowledge it.
since its somewhat on topic.
im switching my springs to 5/4
i was thinking about just moving the rears i have now to the front, and buying a pair of 4ks.
should i just buy a whole new set of springs, or will this be fine?
and, is there really inherent difference between swift/eibach/qa1's? like, actual difference that i will feel while driving?

like I said I got mine in particular for $500, so no, I dont fail to see anything.

his point is, at the time he didnt know of much better stuff for that amount, bought them, used them for 4 years, with no complaints. feels he got his money worth, and is moving on.
no big deal.

Just move what you've got so long as they are the same length as the fronts, just remember your jic's use the 60mm springs.
Doubt that you'll be able to feel the difference, maybe, i figure they are all close enough in price, i may as well get whats reguarded as the best since its not much of a price diff.
Pretty much, I just love to argue about shit haha
