Why buy megan coilovers ?
You somehow think I really give a crap what shitty parts end up under other peoples cars, I definetly dont, I just figured it wouldnt hurt for a few people to have their eyes opened to something that realistically is going to function far better, being available for the same money.

Why does this waste of bandwidth thread even exist? People buy Megan Racing coilovers for one of two reasons.
1. They are affordable.
2. They want them.
Not everything is going to make sense. Smoking causes cancer, is bad for your health, and more than likely will contribute to your death. People know this, yet they still buy cigarettes and continue to smoke them every day.

History repeats itself. People used to do Koni Yellows and GC's. That setup is making a comeback on the heels of the 8610/8611 and Bilstein setups that are being put together. I just did a Koni/GC setup on my brother's car. It rides and handles like a dream! 7k/5k, tweaked a few things to increase travel down low. This isn't a con-Megan remark, but a pro-Koni one.
It's a lot more general than cheap coilovers, but I like the argument that "I'm building a track car". F-ing lol. Take the Nismo Z for example. Doesn't ride like complete asshole on the street, non adjustable, zero sphericals, not dumped, will eat other cars on the track straight off the showroom floor.

I've run my megans for almost 2 years with no issues. I don't play the name game, which seems to be the core of this thread. I did plenty of research before I bought my coilovers, and there was next to zero negativity about them. The only negativity seemed to be from jdm fanboys who have never even ridden on megan coilovers. I have put 30k of daily driven miles on mine and they are still fine. As far as the strut/spring arguement goes, I like having the adjustability that I get. My car is far from slammed, I have it set right where I like it. Simply put, why would I spend twice the money on something that may be slightly marginally better?

These are valid arguments. Not everyone cares about handling or performance. Some people like HIN and read Super Street.
