I have the same problem, only when it acts up, the pedal becomes stiff and its obvious the clutch isnt fully disengaging, I am thinking a spring or something came loose in the clutch disc. WHen the car wont shift into gear, does turning the car off, pushing the clutch in a few times, and then restarting it fix the problem?

have you checked to see that you actually have the proper amount of gear lube in there?

just sayin...

Didnt you blow a spring out of your clutch? Are you still driving with it like that? Pretty sure, that can cause some problems...

no, i last clutch before this one blew springs on the disk. and yes, i have the right amount of fluid. if it acts up and i cannot put the car into gear. tuning the car off, then putting it in gear is the only time i can get the car in gear.

It's a problem with properly bleeding the system. I had this issue when my slave started leaking really slowly. Engagement point was everywhere, and when heated up it got stiff and really low. If you still have the damper loop (like 1/2" thick steel tube loop) get rid of it. Then bleed it thoroughly. I mean, it's cheap to try out.

how did you get rid of the damper loop without buying the bypass line by circuit sport?

ok so you replaced the master and the slave and still is hard to go into gear.

are you sure you bleed everything out right no air bubbles.

and did this start as you were driving or it was sitting for a while??

I highly doubt a bad clutch would not let you go gear. Your problem is disengagement not a lack of friction. did this problem appear right after changing your clutch? Is the 240 clutch vacuum assisted (my 300zxtt is) My guess is that if you have changed both the master and slave then either the system is not completely bled (which is an incredible pain in the ass...does the 240 have just one bleed point or 2 like the 300?) or your pedal itself may be misadjusted and not actually pushing the clutch far enough away from the pressure plate.

it is hydro operated. with 2 factory bleeders but most of us make it one by getting rid of a box thingy
i just think he didnt bleed it all the way.
