Yeah, im just going to use it to make sure we only have to order shims once when we manage to find them. However the info I found on it, apparently people were doing this as a permanent solution. I doubt they will crack, I just wont be surprised when they start to get squished thinner and it progressively loses it's lash.

Measured at lobe to rocker because the feeler gauges he has are the wide blade type and wouldnt fit within the guide itself.

Have you tried contacting Sean Morris at RBMotoring? I know he has some of the shims needed for the RB26, might be able to put you on track for the GTiR stuff too.
