Do you still have your/a built ka?

The other night was cruising home from Citrus County Speedways saturday night races(Was awesome, got to see a somwhat rarity, 12 car sprint car race,6-800 hp alcohol=badass).

As i'm turning onto 19 to go home kid in a 2nd gen talon w/gold rims, fart can, lowered, gauges etc... goes by. He was driving pretty slow, prolly the speed limit which is 60. Caught up and passed him slowly not trying to provoke anything. He speeds up and gets next to me.Now I havent actually raced anyone in a while where they try to race me and I actually go(Fear of cops/etc...throwing things away for a stupid race/ricer/ w/e) I have seen the kid once or twice before around town but never really paid attention to it, thought w/the gauges and being a dsm it was boosted,so i expected to get toasted(KA/Intake/Header/Exhaust/pretty fucking strong ka though) So from a 60 roll by the time i maxed out 3rd I was gone. Immediatlyy slowed down for the 40mph zone ahead, lol. Felt good to be slow and beat somthing other than a honda!

Hey burgy, I need some 09+ RDX 18's for the element. Same size as the SC's but lighter, and I'll get them powder coated. Did you know that Element SC 18x7.5 wheels are 32lbs?! No wonder this thing rides like ass.
How old were the rod ends in the spl arms ? I've seen plenty of conflicting arguements on whether rod ends are actually really that loud or not, i'd think unless they are pretty worn, they wouldnt be, but im sure its possible.

I've got everything spl going under the rear of mine soon, as well as sphericals for the uprights, and considering adapting monoball pivots for the rlca and flca's, just hoping it doesnt get THAT annoying dd'n

one of the reasons the rod ends were making noise could be vibration transfered to the chassis. there could have been an area of sheet metal that transfered the vibration in it to an audible noise. and the urethane solved that by having give to it.

Yeah, well, I guess thats out the window, spl solid S14->S13 subframe bushings, I guess i'm gonna have to put a whole lot of hope into those little rubber strips they include now

They're not rod ends, they're rather large spherical bearings and they where brand new I'm assuming.

All spherical rear suspension is pretty noisey. I daily drove with it for 6 months and it wasnt quiet even with a foam insulated subframe. (SPL arms/ Defs upright bushing) NT05's didnt help either.

The 350Z sphericals where the ones that Dan posted. They were brand new pieces. It's about a 50mm spherical ball, which is huge (that whole assy is 60mm OD), and they're super tight. It's not contacting anything, and it's not from the arm moving. It totally doesn't matter now. The car drives as good as ever with the SuperPro parts. I never had these problems with my S13 and a full spherical rear setup. It sounded like something massively loose, and not just a rattle. One of my brother's old S13's had inner tierods with like 1/8" of play... it sounded like that.

FS: SPL compression rod sphericals installed in arms!
WTB: stock Nismo Z suspension!
