Ok, time to buy a clutch for the vh45 but I dont have 1500 to spend so..

Has anyone used any cheaper clutch/flywheel kits, like z1, spec, or anything?

I will most likely be getting a stage 3, so it will hold more power when I upgrade some stuff soon.

Well, in my eyes just because its not a huge name brand doesn't mean they aren't good parts. I mean I ran a hypersingle on the sr, and would love a similar clutch.. But as I said, I do not have 1500$ to drop on a clutch and I need to get my car back on the road.

I have read a lot of good reviews on Z1's new clutches, afterall they are a Z based company.

i was like cool, I'm here...

my buddies were a bit more excited....

then i was like "roh rearry?"

St. Johns County Sheriffs office was like "no, not rearry"

$166 ticket for a half a dough nut.

I love Nissans.

yeah drove like 3 miles with the front tq gauge flying around like a narrowband AFR gauge... was fun, rears would spin, i would slow, front would get pressure, and pull me out. driving by all the 4x4 trucks, the owners looked like they couldn't believe this little nissan was rolling through the same stuff there 44" boggers were going through.

thanks.

few reasons i'm rocking SE's

50 sidewall tires are great for daily driving comfort
SE's are disarming to the general public, no more "hey, look at this car!", blends in with the general populous of traffic.
SE's are one of the best OEM Nissan wheel designs IMHO, looks best on a low S13 coupe with 1" spacers
saving money to get some really nice wheels, i could get other cheap wheels, like Rota, or XXR in the mean time, but that's money on whee's/tires i can be applying to a nicer set of wheels.

and lastly, because i can. i wish SE's were 17's, so i could have them widened to about 10", put some good 265/275 rubber on em, run spacers, and rock em like that.

personal preference really, I'd rather rock OEM waiting for better wheels, than piss away money on Rota/XXR.

I think you should grab a set of those, Marshall. Jason(ph34r) had a set on his white hatch, they looked alot better than I would have expected.
