Tim, why not put a small flex in the part that goes towards the ground? Shouldnt have to worry, and you can shorten it a bit while your at it.

 

I got them from Sean. They're obviously aftermarket, and they're obviously cut. He asked me if I set the preload, which I have no clue what that means, so I'm gonna assume I did it wrong. =/
