Basically foam the entire subframe since its hollow. I know there was an article a few years ago about a shop over in japan that did it to a 350z. I'll try it out next weekend and see how it goes.

I foamed my chassis with 8lb stuff from US Composites in Miami. They have a workable online store. I have a bit left over that you can have. It should be enough for a subframe. If you use it, do a test pour to make sure it's still good. I've also got some funnels and a mixing attachment for a drill. Pour time is 45 seconds, so you really need that power mixing going on.

The article you're referring to is the Opera 350Z build shown in SCC. They used 16 lb stuff, which US Composites also has. Basically drill a few 3/4" holes and start pouring. Seal it up with brass plugs, or just use that crazy metal-backed AC duct tape.

By the way, I have an SR tranny for sale. It needs the shifter assembly, input shaft plate, and lever/tob. All those parts can be taken from your KA tranny. $125.

Cool! You wouldn't happen to have a spare VTC solenoid, would you? It just unscrews from the head. Trade me? I'll be at QSL freezing my nuts off as usual.
