Want my car to last longer than 6 months and I do not care for turbo and I have no need for turbo. 200 whp horsepower in a car weighing just over 2000 pounds is all I need. The Ve is a high comp motor and is perfect for what I am doing. I am not going to bolt on a turbo to a motor that already makes what a red top makes but with a better power band.
First, what in the world does a turbo have anything to do with how long your engine lasts ?
How long your shit lasts depends on the quality of parts you use, and how you maintain things, 99% of the time.
And if you think that engine puts down the same as what a redtop will, you are only fooling yourself.

Dude shut the fuck up. Who are you to tell people how to build cars. I simply post a picture of an engine and you insist on harassing me to turbo it. Why the fuck would I boost a motor that is 12.1:1? If I wanted to go turbo I would get the RNN14 motor and call it a day.

Vvls+T is a very hard setup to tune. They are high compression and it not the best thing to do unless you build the bottom or do the 54c bottom. Of course turbo would be cool and all but it is not what I want to do. By the way here is what happen to my buddys VE+t setup this week.

Tuning is indeed key, and yeah, I wouldnt likely do it without swapping to at least 54C pistons, the complete set of pistons and rods for the 19mm bearings would be awesome.
Sorry to hear about his engine. Never a cool christmas present.
